"The Education Program for Gifted Youth is an ongoing research project at Stanford University dedicated to developing computer-based multimedia courses in Mathematics, Physics, English, Computer Programming and other subjects, and making these available to students of high ability." Virtual classroom situations are common with this program, although independant study is encouraged as well. "To qualify for EPGY, students must provide evidence of their intellectual ability. In order to demonstrate this, students normally submit the results of a nationally recognized standardized test such as the SAT. Students 13 and younger applying for the mathematics courses may also register to take the EPGY Mathematical Aptitude Test to qualify for admission."
